Gum grafting

Exposed tooth roots happen due to receding gums. Gum grafting provides the coverage of these exposed surfaces and help prevent further recession. It is not only a cosmetic issue but can also lead to tooth sensitivity, increased risk for decay with pain and discomfort. Gum grafting is not only recommended around teeth but also around implants and edentulous areas to improve the quality of tissues. As when gum recession occurs it is easy for the bacteria to penetrate or trauma. The gingival grafting technique is highly predictable and results in stable and healthy band of tissue around tooth/implants.
